INTRO / BEGINNER BELLYDANCE

Calling all bellydance beginners!!! Join this class anytime if you want to learn the ancient art of bellydancing. This class is ideal for first timers and beginners, and even more advanced students who want to brush up on basics. Our normal warm up consists of muscle toning exercises and yoga based stretching. After the warm up we move onto drills, which include arms, shoulders, chest, stomach, and hips. We do the same warm up and drills each week. After our warm up and drills we work on a combination or choreography. You can join this class at anytime - beginners are welcome! More advanced students will also benefit from this class, and it's a great complement to any of our other classes.

HIP FURY CARDIO BELLYDANCE

Get a great workout and advance your bellydance to the next level with fast and percussive hip movements in drills and combinations that will make you break a sweat while building stamina for your dance. Learn to interpret rhythms of instruments with the most emphasis on percussion, this class will improve your hips technique greatly!

Beginners are welcome - this class is beneficial to people of all fitness and dance levels.

HIP HOP BELLYDANCE

Blending hip hop moves such as waving, liquid, popping, strobing, tutting and gliding/floating with bellydance creates a powerful and fun style of dancing. Learn (and perform, if you choose) complete hip hop bellydance choreographies. This is a mixed level class and can be fast paced at times. Basic bellydance knowledge is helpful but not required. Beginners are welcome as long as you are comfortable and feel you can keep up!

TRIBAL FUSION BELLYDANCE

The style of bellydance taught in this class is Tribal Fusion Bellydance - choreographed American Tribal Style Bellydance fused with other related dance styles including American Nightclub/Cabaret Bellydance, Indian Classical Dance, Bollywood, Flamenco and Hip Hop. Learn (and perform, if you choose) complete tribal fusion bellydance choreographies, some of which include veils and other props. This is a mixed level class and can be fast paced at times. Basic bellydance knowledge is helpful but not required. Beginners are welcome as long as you are comfortable and feel you can keep up!

ADVANCED BELLYDANCE / TROUPE REHEARSAL

This class is by invite only and is open to those students in Gabi or Kim's bellydance classes. These instructors have student performance troupes and perform regularly. Please talk to Gabi or Kim if you are interested in joining! Gabi's troupe ("Troupe Al-Lat") performs cabaret style bellydance. Kim has a tribal fusion / hip hop bellydance performance troupe (Bellydance Revolution) as well as a bollywood dance performance troupe that does pure bollywood dance as well as bollywood bellydance fusion ("Bollywood Revolution" and "Bolly Meets Belly").
